PeopleSoft FSCM – What’s Special about Image 44

 

PeopleSoft FSCM Image 44 got released on June 15, 2022. There are many functional enhancements in this version, and it’s possible to adapt these new enhancements and features with the help of the PeopleSoft update manager. This article highlights the specialty of PeopleSoft FSCM image-44. 

Special New Functionalities:

Intrastat report changes applicable since January 1, 2022, by European Union:

It’s now the requirement to mention partner VAT numbers on various Intrastat forms like Form N, Form R, and Intrastat movement statistics. PeopleSoft FSCM image 44 is enhanced to cover all this. 

Real-Time Indexing:

The update image 44 has some more search definitions. RTI, or real-time indexing, uses direct transfer methods for transmitting the without any boundaries to ElasticSearch from PeopleSoft batch servers, the search data. Also, PeopleSoft now performs indexing in near real-time as data gets sent and as it saves. A lot of new specific search definitions are now in image 44.

Enhancements in the design framework:

Image-44 has some enhancements in the design framework and ensures a positive impact on the fluid-designation-framework. The users can now review and revoke delegation requests individually via my delegated authority’s page. 

Questionnaire events:

It’s now possible to provide questionnaires from out-of-activity guide boundaries via online notification and e-mail. It’s now possible to mention questionnaire event frequency in the form of ongoing or continuous activity and move to the statistics page for viewing questionnaire event-related data such as processing history and response status.

General Ledger features enhancement:

The change in financial structure request is an enhancement in general Ledger features that enables users to access and updates the tree hierarchy structure. Also, now after fluid approval, there is a feature called automatic journal postings for streamlining the fluid approval process by automatically posting journals after the last approver approves.

New features related to e-procurement:

We can now use the checkout page to review and perform edits during requisition, modify schedule details, or select schedule details for review. It’s also now possible to use the distribution section to access information like accounting tags and information related to budget and assets and modifies chart fields. It’s possible now to access more explanatory delivery information via the request lifecycle delivery icon. The requester can find out the time of delivery of an item and not merely when it gets received at the dock. Some more features like feedback and signatures are now also available.

Digital assistant for supplier:

Via PeopleSoft intelligent digital assistant-PICASO, supplier digital assistant skill is also available. With the help of this skill, it’s now possible to inquire about “bid opportunities” and events covering both awarded and pending awards events. 

PeopleSoft’s new and intuitive bidder response component:

In image 44, PeopleSoft strategic sourcing is up with a new fluid bidder response component to support novice users of PeopleSoft to respond to the bid opportunities without any training. Also, it’s possible to answer various questions regarding the event and get valuable information related to the bidding process like the required number of questions, question weightage, and response entered. And this makes the complex business process simple, and one can move through it without training. Various comprehensive bid information is also available that improves the bidding process.

Finalizing project budgets:

It’s now possible to add the budget to the fluid project costing for finalizing exceptions, and it’s possible to bind up and view more than one project budget in one go.

Support for federal government invoicing:

The Department of the Treasury is now up with a G-invoicing system for managing buy-sell transactions for intra-government. And this is supported by PeopleSoft.

Single payment vouchers for refunds:

The improvement in PeopleSoft receivables has made the refund process easy. It’s now possible to create a single payable voucher for refunds with the help of a one-time supplier. There is no need for one-time refund payments or the creation of permanent supplier ids. All these get automatically generated for one-time refund payments, and supplier bank accounts and other bank information get automatically created.

Also, it’s now possible to delete third-party data.

Various features related to asset management have also been updated and provide more enhanced features that ensure easy business process. 

Also, the billing, inventory, and project costing dashboards provide more information than previously with update image 44.
